Drake and Sarah's First Day of School

Our niece and nephew (who are cousins) started kindergarten this week. From the various reports I have received I have learned the following:

1) Drake sat by Sarah on the rug.

2) Sarah has the job of moving the clothespins around for the week but the best job belongs to some other boy who gets to clean the teacher's desk.

3) They had a snack that wasn't very good and tasted like Crayfish.

4) There is a girl who yells a lot in their class.

5) They both wish kindergarten was a full day and not just the afternoon half day. In fact, the second day of school Drake was ready to go and asked his mom to just "drop him off early." Regretfully, his mom had to inform him that doing that was against the rules--especially when early means four hours before school starts.

I wish I had a picture of them on their first day of school but my faithful reader and sister, Carrie has not sent any to me yet. I am assuming she is my faithful reader although not once (not once!) has she commented on the blog. She sure is missing out.

All I remember about kindergarten is that my birthday was in the summer and I got hosed on the celebration. That, and the fact that we couldn't build anything taller than we were. Stupid rules! I'm with Drake, why can't we go early to kindergarten?

That is completely how kids think, I love it! I can't even imagine Nicole going to school. Drake and Sarah are so cute, great pics!

Hello. I am Krissi's only sister and despite her HARSH criticisms, I AM a FAITHFUL reader. In fact, I am so faithful, that I am a FAN. I feel nervous about starting my own family blog because how could it possibly have the pithy, fun, charm of the Carlklef Chronicles?

Dear Carrie the sister,
Welcome to the glorious world of blog comments. I am sorry Kitty was so cruel as to question your dedication to the Carlklef Chronicles. She can be very judgy that way. I am beginning to question her alleged BF status as she has not once (not once!) called me today.

Don't be nervous about starting your own blog. As you may have noticed, Kitty and Ross can blog about anything and I'll have a comment for it. I can work that same magic for you, even though we've never actually met. Bring on the blogs!

I had to see if you guilted your sister into commenting and it looks like you did

All these people reading your blog.. I didn't know you were so popular. Seeing this creates a couple of emotions.
1. Stage fright, I can't be posting comments when I know there are so many readers, and I thought it was a small group.
2. Embarrassment- There is a link to my blog here and..
3. Somewhat jealous that you have so many readers and friends.
I have come to find out I may spend the rest of my life being jealous of those CarlKlefs. Umph
