Today I'm grateful that our first night with the three of us was a total and complete bust. I mean, if it would have gone well, then we would always be comparing every other night to the first night of where Elvis simply slept eight straight hours. So instead, he did the exact opposite and decided to remind us that he now sets our sleep schedule.
Except the joke is on him - I've read the Baby Whisperer book - so here we go. My routine v. his - bring it. I'm committed and so is Greg. But I must admit - I'm sure that this whole mothering experience is going to teach me the thing that I hate to learn more than anything . . . patience. Ugh.
Oh and I'm also grateful for this picture. Because it is just awesome. I love how excited Anna and all of Elvis's other cousins are so excited to have him in the family. He's pretty lucky.

Baby Whisperer is a good one. Just make sure Greg knows every tiny thing you plan on implementing and HOLD HIM TO IT. I didn't do that...doesn't work well when Mom and Dad are on different wavelengths.
There is a serious loss of control when kids arrive. I am still clinging on with my fingernails though.
Wait. So we are really calling him Elvis on the blog? Not Constantine? Pfft.
Elvis is a looker. Scott says he can see a resemblance of you. Lucky boy.
This picture makes me smile! Cousins are the best and there is nothing like knowing that your kid has a good bunch of them to grow up with. Wishing I could hold that sweet little Elvis! Love him!
