keepin' it real

I like to call our "garden" the explosion - because it has exploded. Literally. With really - who knows what? I don't even remember what I planted. I just threw some seeds in the soil and hoped for the best.

This is certainly not the best - it's just gross. Last night Greg went with the YM and worked on the ward garden - I told him to stop wasting his time and get cracking in our own personal garden mess-fest. What was I doing while while he was working in the ward garden? Well, relaxing, of course! And doing laundry -as evident by my clorox spill. Apparently I don't really have a good sense of how big my belly is actually getting.
Idiot. And I kind of liked this m* shirt.

But back to our mess-fest (aka "the garden") - our tomato cages blew over in the wind storm the other night. I think we've pretty much just given up.

We haven't yet given up! There is still life in that garden!

I can't wait for a fresh salad from that garden! And I love your tummy like a brother.

1. I really wish I could see your tummy. I know it is cute and you are glowing so common. Maybe if enough people commented (petitioned) you would post a picture. Maybe I will make it to Utah before C is born. Late October?

2. All my maternity shirts have big stains on the belly. I even burned my belly once on the stove. All the sudden it was just so big and in the way :)

3. I love the looks of that garden. I really want to have it someday. I am impressed!!

Crazy wind storm. It threw our big, heavy grill on TOP of our garden; luckily, it was the box with potatoes and onions and not tomatoes and squash. All my shirts from maternity days have a stain on the belly. Eventually your shirts will all have stains on the shoulders...get used to them. :)

P.S. I just got a recipe from allrecipes.com for Zucchini Brownies...over 1500 reviews and 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. They look fabulous. If you've got zucchini coming out of your ears, I can send this along to you. :)
