I don't want to jinx it but last night we learned that the missionaries are moving out tomorrow. Please please please let this be true. Greg asked them about their new "pad" and they said that they were way excited because the empty-nester couple have a dog AND they'll be living in the basement where it is nice and cool. So apparently, the heat has gotten to them. Greg didn't have the heart to tell them that we haven't really turned our air conditioner on. We are true pioneers that way. True pioneers.
My trusty April/Emily and Todd helped me come up with an idea to "encourage" Greg to read Harry Potter. Last night I told him that if he reads the Harry Potter books he can buy whatever Harry Potter legos he wants. Holy cow! It really was that easy. He harumphed and stomped around but he started reading Book 3 last night (he read the first two years ago and let's face it - the books start getting really good at book 3+).
The other day I watched the most fascinating documentary - Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead. Just throwing that out there - it was totally interesting. We also watched "Country Strong" starring Gwyneth Paltrow (do any of you get her "GOOP" newsletter - it is so pretentious yet I love it at the same time). Anyway - Gwyneth is a country music mess in that movie. A true mess. And how did Tim McGraw all of the sudden get hair?
Enough of these random thoughts.

I am probably a person without a soul, but I laughed out loud at the ending of 'Country Stong.'
So. Ridiculous.
What do you mean Ross didn't have the heart to tell them that you haven't turned on the A/C?? Unless they are in a coma I think it's pretty obvious that it's not on. I will miss the missionaries and the stories about them, but I know they will move on to a better place with a host that cares about basic human needs.
Naomi, I have to get clarification from you - did you laugh out loud about the tragic part, or about the part where that girl shows up to do a duet with the guy?
Duh - I'm calling it - Naomi laughed out loud at the part where all of the sudden there lay beautiful Gwyneth on the couch.
Toddcat - the fact that the missionaries haven't noticed that the air conditioner hasn't been turned on says a lot about what they consider to be their basic human needs. Laundry soap provided by someone else so they don't have to purchase it - basic human need - everything else? Not necessary.
I'm so glad that all it took was a little LEGO dream to get Ross on the right track with HP. What a relief!
No wonder James likes Greg so much. HP Legos? He's a BFF!!
