When we arrived at the parking lot it was about 12:30 am. Quiet time. We tried to sleep in the car, but a Honda Accord is no place to be sleeping. Knowing that I wanted to get at least a few hours of sleep, I just threw my gear down on the rain fly next to the car. Not 20 minutes when by until KT got fed up with her sleeping situation and asked me to set her up as well. This is what I call car camping - but it worked.

it seriously was a randomly good night of sleep
When I hiked Havasupai, we slept in the car, too, but had to stay IN the car due to the mosquitoes. It was awful.
Instead, we should have just hiked in the dark and slept at the campsite.
You are so rugged.
Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do . . .
