Do you ever feel like you need a new blog post and you just don't have anything to say? Well because I like to keep things fresh I'm going to work hard to put a new spin on the fact that well - um - not much is happening.
1) The Freshman have arrived here at the BY. Whoa. Because a good friend was here on campus helping her sister move into the dorm I had the pleasure of being reminded of what it was like to live in an 8 ft by 10 ft cell/room. You remember - where you put your bed on cinder blocks - shove and share clothes with your roommate and have a communal bathroom. Oh good times. And while I look back and have only fond memories of my freshman year - if asked, I wouldn't repeat it. Ever.
2) In keeping with the "Cougars are back" sort of theme - I made the mistake of going to the bookstore yesterday. Whoops. Crowds crowds and more crowds. And lots of parents freaking out. I think everyone was jealous when they saw me whip out my faculty discount and get 20% off my purchase. Boo-yah.
3) As a farewell to summer - Greg and I are working so hard to try and take a half day off tomorrow. Here's hoping that we a) actually do it and b) don't spend the afternoon working on home improvement projects.
Okay that's it. Hopefully Project Runway will inspire me tonight!

Speaking of Project Runway, I would like to confirm (since I just did it) that it's not a great idea to watch Models of the Runway before you watch Project Runway....

Because you brought it up-I remember my first night in an 8 X 10 room at BYU. For some reason, I was so completely happy. So don't feel too bad for those college freshman. They probably think they have "arrived." I know I did.
Um, what happened to the August of Awesome that you were going to blog about?
