Old mother hubbard went to her cupboard to try and find a matching tupperware bowl and lid. Fifteen minutes later . . . success! Finally. Every morning I say, "This cupboard will be the death of me" and I feel like that is slowly happening. If anyone has any tips on how to organize tupperware (and fake tupperware but plastic stuff that works too) - please, please, please let me know.

The best part is that we also have a mess of the plastic ware in another drawer . . . . HELP!!
Oh I hate searching through the plasticware/lid black hold cupboard. There has to be a better way -- someone should write to Billy Mays. He could fix it for us.
I have the answer to all your problems...
"Are you tired of looking for storage containers to put leftovers in or store food in? Sick of finally finding the right container and then not being able to find a lid that fits? Tired of having no cupboard space because they are full of different shapes and sizes of storage containers that don't stack together? You need the Smart Spin Storage System!
"With the As Seen On TV Smart Spin system, you can organize ALL of your storage needs in less than 1 square foot! No more searching the kitchen for containers and lids. With the SmartSpin Storage System all of your storage needs are right at your fingertips."
Check it out:

I think this will really help things a lot.
No - we had the smart spin thing - it was crappy central and the "tupperware" (I use the term loosely) was horrible. We need a better solution.
I keep all of my tupperware lids in a separate drawer just above the tupperware cupboard. With all of the lids in one place it is easy to find a certain size when I need it most. This simple system may help until Billy Mays can come up with something better, of course. Good luck!
Why can't you store your containers with the lids on them?? That's how I keep all mine and the cuboards are organized and pretty as a picture.
I agree with Todd. I don't do it, but I agree with him.
Store with lids on them? Then how could I possibly stack them in each other? No - I'm afraid that isn't going to work. It would only work if you have two bowls and two sandwich things. And we (obviously) have more than that.
I just do lids in one place and bottoms in another. It's not very helpful.
I use a dish drainer to hold my lids, this way I can see them because they are filed and then stack the bowls underneath.
Wow! All very helpful.
Go to IKEA. Spend a few dollars. Get all the same kind (I admit the stacking round ones that I LOVE they don't carry any more but they have some similar). Get 5 sets of them. That is it. You will have 5 nesting stacks of containers and one stack of lids.
We also have a few stacks of Pyrex bowls and their lids because Karl is a freak about (among other things) nuking plastic.
