We've all been inundated with the news that the swine flu is on the loose. Now I get that this is no laughing matter - but I found myself questioning - really what is the difference between the swine flu and the bird flu? I mean, both are transported through animals. Is it that the symptoms are different? If you get the bird flu you "eat like a bird" but if you get the swine flu you "eat like a pig"? Just wondering. In the meantime, you won't catch me outside without one of these (see pic) - and Ross loves wearing his around - he doesn't even need a beard card!We repainted the bedroom last night. No more lilac grey - now just grey. Much better. Some of you have asked what do you listen to when you do all this painting? Well alright, no one has asked - but I thought I would tell you anyway - we listened to some eclectic music thanks to the library cd's and the fact that we are having a difficult time locating all our music and our computers aren't quite hooked up yet. So without further adieu:
1) Monsters of Rock - Love Ballads - ridiculous music - but honestly it was good to hear Brett Michaels remind us that yes, indeed, every rose does have its thorn.
2) Marketplace - probably my favorite NPR business show - conveniently we always start painting by 6:30 - just in time to listen to this.
3) Lily Allen - her first cd - it's really good - I've been slow to get on her bandwagon - but now I'm on it.
4) Austin Powers - we were desperate.
Next up - bathroom painting and yard work. I think I might just stay at work tonight.

We really need to find those CDs . . .
I'll say. But I am so proud of all your hard work. You have tried out every color of the rainbow.
What are doing about all the paint fumes? That must be the reason for those choices in CD's.
What about all that music that Ross is constantly reoganizing on iTunes...couldn't you listen to that?
We need to know what color you are going to use for the first coat in the bathroom before realizing it's not what you thought and going with another color. Don't leave us in suspense!
Oh Todd - we're going with white - we figure we can't go wrong there.
And duh - we couldn't listen to itunes because the computers weren't set up. One more night of Monster Rock Ballads and we might just get desperate and get them playing.
If you don't have a computer set up then how are you taking your turn at scrabble before going to bed at night???
I am a little concerned about this swine flu because Cory works a lot with the Hispanic people in California. I am sure they take all the precautions but it scares me. I don't even want to bring it up to Haylee.
