My new/old boyfriend

I have had a weird crush on Will Shortz long before I ever even met Greg. After all, Will and his fantastic word puzzles have long kept me entertained. Seriously, sometimes (and yes, this is embarrassing and not something I'm particularly proud of) I would go into Borders or Barnes & Noble just to check out if he had any new word puzzle books out - and then I would buy them (obviously this is before Greg because I spent money on things willy-nilly - like buying books). Anyway - last night my crush came full circle as I finally got to watch the documentary, "WordPlay" all about the New York Times crossword puzzle - and its editor - Will Shortz. The movie was an absolute nerd festival - the highlight was watching a crossword puzzle aficionado perform a baton twirling routine at the crossword puzzle lovers talent show. It was absolutely awesome - and Greg loved it too.
In another embarrassing disclosure - I took baton twirling classes when I was little - and I am still pretty good at it (and so is my sister) - apparently my parents thought we had a future in parades.

I feel like I understand Kris Tina so much better now.

I feel like I absolutely NEED to see a present day video of you twirling a baton. If you were ever really my friend you'd do it.

I have to admit that I'm addicted to the crosswords in People magazine. This goes to show what I have always known - I am smart, but you are smarter....

This blog post makes me want to cry and throw up in my mouth all at the same time. I agree with Lindy, we all need to see some baton twirling footage ASAP.

I'll throw in a vote for the baton twirling.

T- I got that one from the library and totally fell asleep. Sorry, I am just not smart enough. I did, however, stay awake for the movie about the Scrabble nerds and Spellbound. I am at least that smart I guess. I am definatly smart enough to stay awake for some baton twirling footage. Ba-ton! Ba-ton! Ba-ton!

Hey Twirl-Master! Let's see some classic KT footage! Or maybe there needs to be a ward talent show or something. Or both.
