I'd like to know what those poor people in the boot/thong factory in Indonesia were thinking while building these boot/thongs! Probably, "What the #%#$%&?!!??"
I don't know what you are trying to imply, but I have never in my life lived in the South or an urban environment. So I guess the joke is on you. Oh, snap!
Well, well, well--it would appear that I hit a sore note with Ross. I can only imagine that's because only does he wear these shoes, but also he designed them. I imagine when he designed them he was living in an urban area of Little Rock, hence the slang.
Also, you better check YOURself before you wriggity wreck yourself. I must have visited Ross in Arkansas to pick up this kind of an insult.
Huh... haven't checked over here in a while, and I must say, I am almost speechless... so is it a boot? Is it a sandal? Do you wear them to the beach? (Because they would be most useless in a snowstorm...) Exactly WHERE would one wear these particular shoes... or do they even qualify to be classified as such? Let's call them "footwear" until the verdict is in! :)
And for the record, (after the whole "Manpri-Debacle"), Ross' standing is still in question... so if I ever personally see him wearing these... sigh... Well, I just could not ever look him in the eye again... ever!
