Peaked too soon?

In high school, me and my friends had this saying: "peaking too soon." This described people whose top level of achivement in life was high school. That is, their lives could only go downhill from there - you know the star high school football player who now lives alone in a trailer park kind of thing (this example is fictional - I'm not referring to anyone in particular). To describe this level of attainment there is also the saying, "Early to ripe, early to rotten." Well, needless to say, these sayings brought some comfort to me when I was a little more than awkward during high school and always (it seems) trying to fit in. I guess that is why we are in love with our latest netflix rental, "Freaks and Geeks." It's the true story of high school - none of this 90210, O.C., Gossip Girl ridiculousness - instead this is real high school. The boys in ninth grade are small and the girls tower over them - at a dance everyone is awkward looking - and people drive around in cars looking for stuff to do. It is hilarious - and I love being an observer of high school awkwardness (instead of a participant).
Since Meg and Russ are the only ones who take our recommendations - this one is for you guys. You won't regret it.

We're still in the middle of Veronica Mars, but will have to add it to the queue...we haven't been disappointed by following your recommendation, yet. Although, Russ is hesitant to get hooked on another show...this one may just have to be me.

How come you never want to just ride around in the car when I suggest it? That is pretty much my favorite thing to do aside from assembling lego star wars. . . tonight we ride!!

I've always wanted to watch that show, it looked hilarious when it was on. So sad it isn't on anymore. I'll have to put it in my queue.
