It takes a village . . .

We could blog about how our three-day weekend was full of excitement, adventure and bbq's. But instead, the best part of our weekend is the fact that after more than six months (ten months for some areas) we have finally finished changing out the outlets in our house. No longer is our home a fire/child hazard. So if you haven't come over for fear that your child would zap themselves (yes, you Kristal) - rest easy - it's now safe.
(You know that by "we" I mean Ross but I am the kind of wife that doesn't like to play the "blame game").

It really is too bad that we moved away from your neck of the woods. I could have come and helped you finish that project months ago! You may want to look into moving closer to us so this sort of thing doesn't keep happening.

If it makes you feel better I think I have been there several times in the last 8 months and have only noticed it about 5 times. Way to be productive Carlklef team!

I don't understand why you say it takes a village. Apparently it only takes Ross and 10 months of your nagging him. Good work!

Well, I guess I can book my flight to Chicago now -- I don't have any kids, but exposed outlets are a hazard for everyone.

Nice work, though. Those look very professional.

Hmmm... this post leaves me wondering...and admittedly wanting more! Maybe I just need more info... What type of outlets DID you have? And what type did you CHANGE to? Is this part of your effort to go green? Or is this in an effort to pre-childproof your house in preparation for a little Carlklef (and why do we call you the Carlklefs... isn't your last name Danklef? Is that like a Greg/Ross thing that I've missed the explanation for?) So many ?'s... and I COULD keep going! I'll stop there for today...
