Similar to Doogie Howser, my niece, Charlotte, graduated from medical school much earlier than most of the other graduates. Her dad dressed up in similar robes to help her through the ceremony. I'm not sure how I feel about getting a prescription from someone who has difficulty feeding herself.
*I blatantly poached this picture off of my sister's blog - I couldn't make it to the graduation but was feeling very homesick and wished I was there . . . even if it was kind of boring - Congrats Cory!

Congratulations, Charlotte (and Cory)! That is a huge accomplishment. Now y'all can look forward to helping her through the inevitable challenges of balancing a brilliant professional career with the normal aches and pains of growing up. Thank goodness y'all have the example of Neil Patrick Harris to follow.
Well I feel fine about it and will take any prescriptions she's willing to give. After all, she's a doctor now. Who am I to question what she tells me to take.
Congrats Charlotte! And thanks for the medical advice you gave me last week. That really helped me through a difficult time. Congrats to your parents for "raising" a genius (don't worry--I know you are really teaching them all you know in an effort to help your dad be a real doctor--oh this is just like Ratatoillue). Great job on becoming doctors you two!
Oh, the child prodigy... they are too few and far between these days. We are lucky to have one in our very own family! Too many kids these days want to waste their childhood playing outside and riding bikes or playing video games or baking cookies in their easy-bake oven (which, btw, has made an amazing recovery in popularity in recent years...) and they miss out entirely on the joys of endlessly studying human anatomy, exam-cramming, and the inhuman hours of medical residency... tragic... just tragic.
Hmmm, looks like there's definitely a smarty pants gene in the Carlston family.
