My sister is awesome. Today is her special day - that' s right she is turning 24 on the 24
th . . . again. Here are some reasons why she is awesome:
- She is the best mom I know - and I know a lot of them.
- She doesn't harbor a grudge against me even though I once threw a shoe at her.
- When she laughs her nostrils flare.
- I remember her life better than she does - and she admits it - ask me what she wore to prom or about her first kiss. I'll tell you all.
- Ross thinks she is probably the nicest person . . . ever and I agree with him.
- Even though she is very righteous - she graduated from seminary by the skin of her teeth (something about always being tardy) ironically, she was asked to speak at seminary graduation and the teacher told her to not mention a word about all her absences and tardies.
- She graduated from BYU before laptops were really affordable or available - all her papers were typed on a word processor. Weird.
- Despite our age difference we always shared a room - her side was messy and my side was clean (of course)
- In high school, she LOVED to listen to the soft LDS musical group, Afterglow. I kind of felt bad for her.
- She loves to follow in my footsteps - I start a blog - she starts a blog - I'm awesome . . . and now she's awesome.

Happy birthday Carr-bear! KT swears that your gift is in the mail . . . I'll make sure she becomes truthful on that one. Hope you have a great day!!
Krissi, your blog is crazy but yet you always speak the truth. I tell you what, if we can't remember something we always call you because you remember everything from the past. You are awesome and so is CJ. Love you both, so fun to have daughters.
I like being featured on your blog. Consider your gift delivered.
Krissi:
You're right. You're awesome, and now Carrie is awesome. We've had a great day today - We went to the temple (early), and then to Cory's Graduation, and then to see Indiana Jones (check our blog soon for a review from Lauren), and then shopping for new eye glasses (my present to Carrie), and finally dinner at Bajio Grill with gelato ice cream for deseret. Carrie touches all of our lives and she makes everyone better just because of who she is. We're all blessed to celebrate her life today.

And now the comments you’ve ALL been waiting for…
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARRIE!!!!
I am just a few months younger than you so I guess that means I will soon be turning 24 as well. You are so lucky to have a much older sister like Kitty to document your life. It’s like having your own personal biographer. Although, I’m a little concerned with how obsessed she is with everything that you do. It sounds a bit like stalking. I’m thinking of getting you a restraining order for your birthday.
I don’t believe for a second that you kept your side of the room messy and Kitty kept hers clean. Let’s face it….you both probably had an immaculate room because the Workhorse cleaned it for you.
I’m going to work of making you a mixed tape of Afterglow songs because that sounds like just the thing to get a rockin’ birthday party started.
Happy Birthday Carrie! I think you and your girls are the cutest things on the planet! Keep up the being awesome!
Todd,
It is so funny that you called it because I never remember my room being messy--but elephant memory says it was. I expect the Afterglow CD in a Fed Ex package soon. If you want to put it on a cassette, that would be just fine too.
Happy Birthday, Carrie! I can tell that KTC is right about you because I took a peak at your blog at KTC's recommendation and it is very awesome. Your girls are very, very good writers. I am impressed. Besides, I myself appreciate the soothing harmonies of Afterglow -- particularly at Christmastime. Maybe I could get a copy of the tape that Todd sends you?
My two daughters are awesome, but I don't remember either side of the room as being in order.
