I don't want to into all the particulars, but I'm happy to announce that electricity has been restored to Chateau Carlklef. In a related note, I discovered that I am not what you would call an "intuitive" electrician. However, thanks to the Irish electrician who helped me out today, I will be able to finish up the project. I also learned that I should look up some of the details for home improvement BEFORE just trying an "expereyment." KT will be relieved to know that I am also more aware of when I am out of my league with home improvement. In the meantime - the lights are on and we don't have to pretend to be green or Amish - at least until I try again . . .

Amish No More

Ummm...Ross, did you just say your going to make another attempt at electical work? Will you not be satisfied until you burn the whole building down? I'm worried your next post will be about how you had to move into some homeless tent village in the park.

HeLLooOoo Kris Tina! What a wonderful place to find you! I loved reading your blog. You are hilarious! Im glad to see you and Greg doing well, besides the occassional power outage and loss of a cellular device! Oh, and I wash my hair maybe twice a week as well.. I was glad to read your post on that, I didnt feel so alone with the strange gasps people give. HaH! :) I look forward to keeping tabs on you two!
