Phone DOWN

So I think it is official - my cell phone of almost three years is down and out. I have had some problems for awhile but I kept hoping that I could hold out until Ross's contract was up and then we could change providers or get a really great deal - or I don't know. But my phone really hasn't worked since Wednesday and no amount of charging up the battery will help. At least I'm up for a new phone and won't have to pay the "full price." I'm looking into getting a hands-free device - maybe something like this picture. Also without any power - it appears that I have lost every person's number. Not awesome. And let's face it - I'm a big screener so if a number rings that I don't recognize - I don't answer. It looks like I may be screening for awhile . . .

hmmm....apparently you've never known my number because you are always screening my calls.

It is about time your getting a new phone because that one what a heap of you know what. Of course, I'll beleive it when I see it because you often like to talk about how you have no choice but to replace your old, broken down possessions and then you never actually follow through. Case in point: the Sube. Maybe you could find a deal where you get a free cell phone with the purchase of a car.

I think the handheld device idea is a great one--and practically a must in our modern world. You could change the rubberband every day to match your outfit -- or better yet, knit yourself a rubberband cover. It could be the start of a new fashion trend.

I would prefer a free car with the purchase of a cell phone. And I think we are planning on going to the sprint store tonight because we can't survive with just one phone. Except Ross suggested that we just pretend that his cell phone is the house phone and then neither one of us has a cell phone. I'm tempted.

Or maybe you should just continue you new Amish lifestyle and give up your phone all together like you did electricity. You wouldn't even need to get a car. Sure, you'd have to find a place to keep a horse and buggy, but then you could earn some extra cash on the weekends by giving horse drawn carriage rides on Michigan Ave.

Oh I hate this having to extend your contract to get a decent deal on a phone! The American people are so oppressed!

Wow--I take my eyes off your blog for a few days and it takes hours to catch up! My number is --- --- ----- (If only this were private.)

Horse drawn carriage rides for a small price is the answer to your legal career woes. The next time I'm in a life dilemma, I'm seeking out Todd's advice. Maybe you could train Lauren to drive the buggy and she could have an awesome summer internship in Chicago.

Carrie, I have all the answers to your life's dilemmas. Some answers are good, some are bad. The fun part is learning which is which. I think maybe you should send all the girls to Chicago for the summer and Kitty can teach them to solve mysteries by watching episode after episode of Murder, She Wrote. That's a skill that, much like Angela Landsbury herself, never goes out of style.

Okay, I absolutely FORBID you to strap the phone to your forehead... fashion-trend or not! Perhaps the earpiece accessory would be worth the investment, or at least the dignity it saves you! :)

I can just picture you walking around Chicago with your phone strapped to your head. Only you could get away with it. :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence but I definitely couldn't get away with it. Although with my cheapness - i might try - but I think the elastic band would result in an uber headache.

I think this is the funniest thing ever! Looks super comfy!

I have to tell you that I have seen a real live person strap their cel phone on their head with an enormous elastic band like your picture-they were riding their bike-what else are you going to do right?
