No Smoking!

Smoking is disgusting. I know this and so does pretty much everyone else in the world. However, at the same time, smoking totally fascinates me (but I hate the smell and the tar and everything about it - so it is weird). My grandpa was a smoker and I would usually just kind of stare at him in amazement when he would go outside to smoke. When I was little I used to pretend that a toothpick was a cigarette and I would pretend to smoke. My dad got mad at that and threatened to take the toothpick away. I have never smoked in my life but apparently I am still kind of fascinated by the whole thing. When the Toddcat came to visit we ran across some candy cigarettes and had to try them out. I even used my sweater to keep the pack handy. Don't judge us - it was cold outside and we had to do something to keep us entertained.

Wow! I cannot believe that you have never smoked. It looks way, way too natural. Also, I had a companion in the mission who used to pretend to take a nonchalant and patronizing puff after making a particularly witty remark and I thought it was hilarious. So I am in no position to judge.

Ha ha! I'm so glad that you faked it--that's hilarious. My mother is also obsessed with smoking. Just a couple of years ago she asked my dad if herbal cigarettes were ok. Try the gum ones. Those or delicious. Or at least as delicious as a pieace of bubble yum.

Smoking feels great...especially when the sugar rush of eating all of those cigarettes kicks in. They are delicious to the last bite. Although I'm not sure why people say smoking keeps you thin. I've been eating two packs a day and I'm blowing up like a balloon.

...and who deleted a comment? Lindy, was it you?

I deleted the comment, but only because it was posted twice! I swear!

Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a cigarette in your eye.

Well thanks for admitting you were the culprit, Lindy. Mystery solved!

I guess I have to start screening your blog before the girls get on it. I now know exactly what I'm sending for your birthday. Luckily those little tiny patches don't require a lot of postage (just a preventative measure of course.)

Carrie, I'm not one to judge, but I thought you were the kind of responsible parent who wouldn't let her children read such a racy blog like the Carlklef Chronicles. I guess I was wrong about you. If you ever have any questions about good parenting, feel free to ask me. I've never made a parenting mistake yet.

I can't believe you've never smoked either. When I smoke pens, pencils, or straws I find the most satisfying part is flicking the ash. Is that your favorite too?

I love candy cigs. When I was a kid I used to get them at the local seven eleven and "smoke" them on my way to gradeschool when it was cold. My Mom saw me when she drove by one time and I got in a ton of trouble. I didn't think that they still sold those. That is so cool. I am glad I found your blog. I am coming to chicago in a few weeks, I would love to get lunch or something!
