True confessions (again)

Don't judge us but ever since we moved into the "Money Pit" our bed is our mattress (i.e. no bed frame) it just lamely sits there on the floor (trust me this is a step up from the bed frame we had in the studio that required me to climb a ladder to get into and out of bed.) Hence, we are always in the market to find a bed frame . . . unfortunately both of us have very different tastes and have found it difficult to find a frame we both like that is in our budget. Thankfully, we both agree that $65,000 is way too much to pay for this wooden piece of _____ (you fill in the blank). In the words of Lindy - for $65,000 that bed should be made out of gold.

If you would like, the Goose and I will make you a duplicate of that bed. We will only charge you the cost of the lumber--probably about $75. Tips are appreciated.

How in the world can that be worth $65,000? The bed must come with a bed-welcoming luncheon hosted by Oprah. Oh, who are we kidding, you could never get Oprah to do it for that cheap. A luncheon hosted by Hulk Hogan?

Also, I don't think you should be ashamed of sleeping with the mattress on the floor. Some highly educated and exceptionally wonderful people have spent most of their lives sleeping on beds with no bed frames.

Abby - this weekend I learned that Ross was a HUGE "Hulk-a-mania" fan while growing up. He can do an impersonation of the Hulk that is really quite impressive. So no, the bed doesn't come with a luncheon hosted by the actual Hulk but I bet Ross would do the Hulk voice for us if we asked him enough.

Also I think you are saying you don't have a bedframe. As a highly educated person I think you should know that I think you should get one - and that you should not be afraid to use fitted sheets with it.

KTC! How could you out me about the fitted sheets! I really do hate them, although you'll be proud that I finally put them back on my bed. Also, I totally have a bedframe -- although I didn't have one until about four months ago. I can't say that I've really noticed a difference -- except that the bed is a little higher.

P.S. Do you know who else is a Hulk-a-maniac? Jill Wright. Oh yes. Ross, maybe she'll let you borrow her CD.

Her CD???? Did The Hulk cut an album? I think his daughter Brooke is a singer...or some sort of "entertainer" trying to cash in on her daddy's fame.

I was present when Ross' Hulk obsession was revealed this last weekend and the voice is quite impressive. I wish Ross would make a recording of it to put on the blog.

Oh yes, there is a CD. Jill and I listened to it one year to help us get pumped for law school finals. It was awesome.

I'll have you know that Lanni and I used to BOTH sleep on a mattress on the floor (the same mattress mind you) AND watch WWF on TV, including two live matches in Calgary with my dad, my Grandpa, and my cousin Greggy, a.k.a. Greg the Hammer. We saw the Bushwackers (sp?) live and in person. It was all very ladylike.
