As of September 30th . . . I've read 41 books this year. I need to up my game a little bit to make sure that I've reached my goal. My friend (who encouraged me to do this goal this year) has already read 60+ books. Lucky for me she has read so many great books that I now have a long list of great books to check out. That's what I call being smart about mooching.
Anyway - September was a crazy busy month for me and thus - I only read two books. Ugh. The other trick with this goal is that sometimes I think that I should read a short book just to get a book read - but nope that's not the purpose of the goal so I refuse to read a book just because I could read it quickly. For example, I'm currently listening to the book "Truman" by David McCullough - it's 47 discs long. FORTY.SEVEN CD's. That's a lot of Harry.
Wooo- this post is getting much longer than I intended - for September the two books I read were:
Yes, I've never read "Outliers" until this month. So sue me. So interesting. I think the thing I learned the most is that success is a lot of hard work . . . and a little bit of luck.
Thanks to my friend Abby and a friendly wager we had going - she gifted me the book, "The Fault In Our Stars." It took me awhile but I ended up loving it (not as much as "Okay For Now") but it is probably my second favorite YA book that I have read this year.
