weekend recap

We're just living it up this July. Living.It.Up.

We made our very first (and hopefully not our last) skymall purchase.

That's right - a screen thing for our back door. Why not just buy a screen door? Good question - I'm not sure - but we saw this screen thing and thought, "we need that" - skymall - it's where you can buy good stuff.

I had to speak in church . . . and my mom and dad surprised me by showing up (but let's face it - the talk wasn't the draw - I'm sure it was the opportunity to play with Henry). Thanks to my dad, who feels just fine about taking pictures at church - he captured these shots:
(for the record Church was over and due to Henry's insistence about always putting Greg's ties in his mouth - Greg wears his polyester mission ties all the time)

Henry continues to work on getting some teeth which translates into some pretty junky sleep over at the Carlklef household. But the past few nights have been better - I'll take it. I'll also take a diet coke.

(but he did sleep through my talk - so rude!)

Thanks to the lovely Jessika - Greg and I went to a movie - "Moonrise Kingdom" we chose this movie based on the fact that it was only 90 minutes - a quick "in and out" sort of thing.

(I think that Henry looks like my brother Kiki here so much - just the expression on his face or something).

And one more picture for good measure - because I love it:

A hand grab in the hall just doesn't cut it for telling you how awesome your talk was. Loved it. Ethan was amazed that both he and Henry had 'Barry' (little stripey bear from Ikea). As for Henry sleeping through the talk, I'm thinking you should just record yourself giving that talk and play it every night...maybe that will = additional sleep time? No sleep = no fun. Poopy. Sorry. :(

I think the picture of you, Mom and Henry could win some sort of photo award. I have heard NOTHING but greatness about your talk. Way to be.

Since I wasn't there to hear your talk I can't comment on it, but from the looks of these pictures no one else heard it either. It's just a fun time free for all in that church. Also, if you are going to let Henry chew on ties they should be pure silk, not polyester. What kind of parent let's their child eat synthetic fabrics?

Well phooey. I missed what I am SURE was a fabulous talk. Drats. Love Greg's mission tie. Any chance he wants to take Dave's off his hands? I wanted to trade them in for free Krispy Kreme's last month and Dave wasn't having it.
