In keeping with my goal to read 52 books this year - I thought I would provide a reading roundup for the month. Here are the books that I read:
Let me just say this - RUN to the bookstore/library/amazon and buy, "Okay for Now" by Gary D. Schmidt. I loved. Loved. LOVED this book so much. I texted my friend Lindy incessantly telling her that she had to read it. She finished it yesterday and I think she loved it as much as I did.
And in all honesty - of these six books the only two that I wouldn't recommend are "Miracle Cure" by Harlan Coben (so not his best work) and "What Dreams May Come" by Richard Matheson. The Dreams book was stupid - it came highly recommended but whoa . . . I found it just bad/dumb.
All in all - a successful reading month. But I will say this - after reading books on the kindle it's almost hard to go back to paper. The one-handedness is just so fantastic.
And because we always need more Henry - here he is playing a rousing game of "pat-a-cake" with Grandma.

Oh my GOODNESS...look at that BOY! I will be playing pat-a-cake next time I see him, for sure. :)
I agree--I love propping the Kindle on the side of a pillow while I lie in bed and nurse a baby. A real book won't stay open that way!
I'm going to put OK for Now on my list to read.
Henry, I envy your stripey pants.
Nice list! I'll add OK to mine as well. You are breezing through them. :)
What a sweet little smile! Since I seriously LOVED Okay for Now, I think I'm going to read Wednesday Wars. Doug even has a minor role in it I believe. Thanks for keeping us in the reading loop!
Also, when my baby was colicky I spent 95% of my time with my kindle in my hand. One arm holding baby as we walked up and down the floor for hours on end, the other hand holding my kindle. It is convenient!
LOVED Okay for Now. I'm so glad you recommended it. Have you read The Wednesday Wars from the same author? So good. I now have two more Gary Schmidt books sitting on my nightstand...such a great writer.
So impressed with your reading and love that little boy!
dang girl . . . you have been READING!!!
And that smile on that baby of yours . . . too cute!
Thanks for the book suggestions. I always loved nursing because it gave me so much good reading time. Now it takes me forever to finish anything!
