finishing out the month

So maybe this is cheating (a little) but I'm going to finish out the month of gratitude in one gigantic sweep. Here goes:

#24 - I'm grateful that even though we have a new baby and everything, Greg still keeps his priorities in check. He worked hard to assemble this on Thanksgiving. And really, our house is the merrier for it. Thank you, Legos Christmas village.

#25 - I'm thankful for our ipad and for netflix. I'm bonding with Constantine (aka nursing) while watching "The Office" on netflix. This has helped me forget about my soreness and made me not so impatient when it seems like it is taking him forever to eat.  And really - it's been fun to re-watch Jim and Pam get together.

#26 - I'm thankful that the doctor's are no longer concerned that Constantine has jaundice. Sure, jaundice made him into an awesome sleeper (not to brag but there was one night where he literally - slept. through. the. night.) But please don't think it is because we are great parents - nope - it was just the jaundice. Rest assured - he hasn't slept like that since.

#27 - I'm so so so thankful for our sweet neighbors/friends that have been bringing us meals. When we first learned that our ward didn't really do that - we were pretty sad. Not that we are physically incapable of providing meals for ourselves - just that, as Greg put it, "it's just nice." Oh goodness - has it ever been nice. Thanks to Amy for organizing it and for all those who have come to our home with some deliciousness. We live around some pretty great cooks/chefs. I am actually pretty overcome with gratitude for the kindness that has been shown through this small act.

#28 - A shout out to Greg (again) for having the foresight to not take down our Christmas lights from last year. Sure, our house looked a little trashy in June . . . but goodness the day after Thanksgiving - he had the lights ready to sparkle. It has made it appear as if we have everything together (much more than we actually do).

#29 - I'm thankful for my sweet four-year old niece, Anna, that loves to call me on the phone and talk about Constantine. She has been providing me instruction on everything from how to change his diapers to how to give him a bath, and even, how to get rid of his little baby acne (apparently I just need to use some lotion).

#30 - I'm thankful also for my fantastic Aprils. I work with a really great bunch of students and I love them. I really do. In the homemade card they gave me it said (on the front cover) - "Congratulations - you're pregnant" and then you open it and it said, "Yes, we have noticed." They make me laugh. They all chipped in and bought us this really awesome swing for Constantine. I have no doubt that he loves it already.

Oh my goodness, gracious....look at that baby! Way to go out with a bang, Kitty. As you can plainly see on my bloggy blog, I just gave up. I would like to see your little boy soon. :)

Each picture makes me ache just a little more to hold that babe. Someday, Constantine, someday...and it's going to be amazing. :)

You see, you finished out the month feeling grateful, while I just feel cheated quite frankly. Cheated out of pictures of Constantine. And I'd like you to stop hogging them all. Because he's delicious enough to eat.

As your ultimate advisor of style and good taste I am mortified to learn you've had your Christmas lights up all year.

Also, please don't let Lindy eat the baby.

That's some great gratitude. Especially the Christmas lights. Way to go Greg!

Oh man, is that baby so, so sweet. Love him.

PS--I love that you can always make me laugh. Every time.
