upping my attitude

I just started typing up a blog post that made it sound like my life is horrible. So I'm starting fresh. My life is great - this pregnancy has (for the most part) truly been a breeze, it's Halloween season which is awesome (if only because I love to see how creative people get for costumes). I just need to up my attitude a little. So in that spirit - here is a list of things I'm looking forward to in the next few days:

1) Apple crisp. I'm having a love affair with this right now. I have been eating it for breakfast (because duh it has oatmeal in it) and for dinner (because duh it has oatmeal in it). I'm enjoying my last few weeks of pregnancy. Maybe next up I'll have Greg make me some chocolate chip cookies.

2) Project Runway. Tonight! Holla! I really hope Viktor wins. I really do. Anya is overpraised. And I'm uncomfortable with the fact that Josh can apply his makeup much better than I can apply my own.

3) Finishing off THIS soup. Greg made it for dinner on Sunday and it really turned out awesome. Looks like someone just won soup-making duties in the family. It's been lunch almost everyday this week.

4) The ward's upcoming trunk or treat/"Harvest Festival" - while I really do want to be Hester Prynne - I have done nothing to make this outfit a reality. So instead I'm thinking of maybe getting a green garbage sack and being one of the green pigs from Angry Birds. My belly would fit right in.

5) Debating about whether or not we should watch "Bridesmaids" starring Kristin Wiig. Part of me wants to so bad - the other part of me says - "Too raunchy, Kitty - don't do it."

And finally - just a quick question - when is this nesting instinct going to kick in? Because my office and our house is a bit of a mess-fest. I'm hopeful it is soon because otherwise Constantine is going to be coming home to a room that hasn't changed since THIS blog post. Oh dear. I might have some bossing to do tonight.

Nice attitude KT! Tonight we will be getting some stuff done. I don't know what, but I'm sure there will be some bossing - and that's OK.

Wait a minute. Where's '#6,' which states 'being surrounded by awesome ladies swarming me with gifts and serving me delicious little morsels'??? :) I know, I know...it just won't be the same because I won't be there. Back to you, though - love the attitude, love apple crisp and loving the thought of seeing you as an 'angry' bird (I hope it doesn't keep you from maintaining this newfound positiveness). ;)

Kitty, you've been talking about being Hester for months. You'll hate yourself later if you don't do it.

And you MUST watch Bridesmaids. The raunchiness makes it hilarious! Plus, Clementine from Reno 911 will give you the low down on what you can expect having a house full of boys. Comedy gold!

I too want to be naughty and watch Bridesmaids. I have loved Melissa McArthy since Gilmore Girls. I admit... very tempted. Mm...apple crisp.

I have wanted to see Bridesmaids, too. Usually, if I know there's probably going to be a bit of yuck, if it's PG13 I'll chance it. If it's R, I skip it. Maybe someone who has seen it needs to edit it just enough and we could have an edited Bridesmaids showing party. And, FYI...the kidsinmind.com site tells you exactly why it's rated R so you can make an informed decision! ;)
