a few of my favorite things

So blog posting is minimal right now for the Carlklef's. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe it is because I'm starting to get quite anxious about all the big changes that are going to be happening. So I'm not going to think about that - instead, in honor of my mother (the workhorse), here are a few of my very own favorite things.

1) This stuff stays on my lips (without getting on everything else) for hours. It's kind of a miracle.
2) For more than two weeks I've been applying this to my eyelashes at night. I can't really say whether or not it is working but I like to think it is - so I totally recommend it:

3) I must be building bones or something because lately I also really love string cheese, yogurt, and milk. Weird for me.

4) We took a break from everything and went down to St. George and Las Vegas this weekend - and we ate here:

My egg tostada was to die for. Totally good. Totally worth it.

5) Lucky for me - this weekend I also discovered that h&m has a (very small) maternity line of clothes. Also lucky for me - a husband that will buy me just about anything I want right now at this stage of the pregnancy game. Score!

6) Constantine insists on showing me who is boss (already!) and loves loves loves to nestle right on in on top of my sciatic nerve (this is NOT one of my favorite things) but I do love using a pilates foam roller to stretch:
(Imagine this is me but with a much Much MUCH larger belly and not raising my legs in the air or doing anything that remotely resembles physical activity).

7) Olive oil. Not for eating but for everything else. I think it is safe to say that I'm like the dad in "My big fat greek wedding" where he thinks that windex cures everything. For me it isn't windex - it's olive oil.

8) We love this game. We played it about a month ago over at a friend's house and we have since ordered it for our own collection. The sad thing is - we haven't even played it. Not once. Any takers?
9) This weekend (on our brief, pretend va-cay) a lady asked me when I was due. I looked at her and in all seriousness I said, "Oh I'm not pregnant" - it was kind of awesome and a lot fantastic. And then I felt bad because she was so so so so so embarrassed.

10) Rosscat. Not to be cheesy or anything but we spent a lot of time together on our self-imposed three-day weekend and it was a delight. I mean let's face it, you can't help but like someone that gets this excited over a belated b-day present (but Haylee - the present is awesome so this reaction is in no way staged).

That really was a fantastic weekend. I think my favorite part was how much VH1 we watched while just lounging around. Also, you forgot to mention that we saw Grease at Tuachan - which was actually pretty good.

I take full credit for the lipstain.

Are you sure Ross is excited in that photo? He looks angry or at least constipated.

I want a weekend like that. Seriously, I do. I'm so glad you 2 just took off. I don't even know how to comment on all the wonderful things you posted. Maybe we skip out on trash tv this week and just play Time's Up. Or maybe we just go to St. George/Vegas. Glad to have you back though. I feel like it's been ages since we've talked. I know it hasn't been, but it feels like it. :)

I want a complete re-enactment of you denying all pregnancy to that lady. I would've loved to see that. Yay for vacations and yay for lots of dairy for healthy bones. ;)

Sounds like a lovely time! And I think I'll get some of that lipstain, because that's how much I value your opinion.

Sorry about the sciatica. I get it too when I'm pregnant, and I feel like I'm just sort of dragging a leg behind me as I walk. I have found that icing it helps a little. And refusing to get up. That seems to be the most effective.

Viva La Constantine!
