So my Mom told me that one of her neighbor's sons happens to be in one of my classes and she asked if I knew who she was talking about. It's the first week - I don't really know any of their names yet (I will - but not during the first week). My Mom then told me that this student told his mom the following,
"Well her last name isn't any different so she must not be married . . . but she is pregnant."
I reassured my Mom that I have made a conscious effort to wear my wedding ring all week (I've been known to forget or lose it - see multiple blog posts for confirmation of this). And to this student all I can say is . . . if I was not married and pregnant - I would probably not be working at the BY.
I'm thinking that next week I might start class off with some deductive logic and reasoning skills - or I'll try and casually mention Greg 30 times in class to see if that will help.

Mentioning Ross is only going to leave your students thinking that he is your baby daddy who is still in the picture, but refusing to make an honest woman of you. Don't besmirch Ross' good name like that.

Or have him come in for a guest lecture and make out with him in front of the class. That should do the trick.
Are you going to hyphenate the lil' guy's name? Constantine Adolf Carlston-Danklef? I don't see how we are going to top that. Still, we have to try.....
You make me laugh, liberated lady! I signed my temple r. with MY maiden name/legal name out of habit & it took me like 6 months to realize that it didn't match my printed name at the top (the "me" according to church records).
Ahhh....I'm sure if your student was working the recommend desk, he'd deny me entry, eh?
I laughed out loud. What a delightful young man. I am pretty shocked that they let you parade around like the fallen woman you are. The other option is to tell your class that are you aren't pregnant. That will be confusing to them and amusing to me.
Way to lead the way for "unfortunate" women onto BYU campus. And I love Constantine, by the way. So authoritative. But I think it should be "ConstanTine," after you. Or maybe you should name him Ross, after Greg. That would make for a lot of funny explanations.
