more blabbering over pretty much nothing

1) Gracias to those of you that feel the same way about Scouts. It helps me know that I'm not the only one. Secondly, gracias to those of you that told me that there is a purpose to it. I've decided that my beef is NOT with the scouts rather my beef is rather with the BSA organization. Two very different things. So I'm over it. But next year I'm going to get off my duff and organize some parties for all the neighborhood ladies and families that have their husbands gone. Scout camp week is going to be something that we look forward to all year long. Before you know it - everyone is going to be begging that their husband go on scout camp so that they can attend these amazing - yet to be determined how - parties.

2) We have a glass top/black/electric stove for sale. Anyone want it? A lady called yesterday - we agreed to meet - she was ready to pay and pick it up . . . and then it fell through. Curses! It's in great shape - the only reason we are getting rid of it is that we found a screaming deal for a gas top/electric bottom oven - so we have replaced the fully functioning stove. Sure, maybe that seems a little wasteful. It probably is - but it was a screaming deal. Anyone? Anyone?

3) Greg made me a list of a bunch of stuff that I should try and accomplish while he is away:

Call Don about screening in the porch

Take tent in to Kirkham’s for repair

30 miles on the treadmill (so far only 6 - I've got some quality time on the treadmill coming up)

Figure out if the juicer is really a juicer

Buy buttons for projects (done!)

Finish baby booties (a gift – once again not for Constantine)

Read Presumed Innocent

Watch the Nuremberg Trials

Finish laundry room

Sell the stove

Get massage

Get pedicure

(I added these two)

The treadmill goal is not too bad (I'm trying to be positive) - but - I hooked the dvd player up to the tv (for some reason it wasn't hooked up) and I can't seem to get it so that it is in color. I'm currently in the middle of watching "Source Code" - I had no idea it was filmed in black and white. How noir of them.

4) I had a 20% off coupon to downeast (thanks ValuPak!) and we went there the other day thinking - "let's pick up a crib" well apparently new laws have made every crib in the country illegal. So instead of buying a crib we bought a new kitchen table. I like it:
