items of business

1) I really love pinterest. I really do. I know some people love evernote - but I can't do as much ogling with that program. Seriously. Check it out - and then pin a bunch of stuff so that I can see what you like. Anyone. Anyone? Pretty please. I like to see what my friends like because then I know it has been filtered (there are some people out there that are pinterest sl___s that will pin any image possible - please that's just overwhelming).

2) Check out what I brought for lunch today:
Trust me these homemade canned peaches taste better than they look in this crappy picture. Delicious. It's like it's spring - even though I have on a sweater.

3) My SIL, Haylee, emailed me and told me that her four year old insisted on being twins with the baby yesterday. I swear - i can't even tell them apart with their hair styled the same:

4) I'm afraid that my missionary stories really just show people how difficult I am to live with. I like to think that I'm teaching the missionaries how to live with a woman (except that kind of sounds weird), but in reality, everyone is probably petitioning Greg for sainthood after discovering what he puts up with everyday.

Oh, brother. I'm worried that the lesson you are teaching those missionaries is that living with a woman is H on Earth and now they'll never want to get married. Why don't you tell the readers how you were (psychologically) trapped in the laundry room for half an hour when Ross was screening your calls to come upstairs and escort you past the missionaries because you were afraid to walk by them on your own. Granted, you've given them lots of reasons to murder you (and what judge would convict them?), but they are missionaries and wouldn't harm a fly. They just want to bring joy to the world with their ukulele music.

PS- Can't wait for my knitted goods.

Did you enjoy your peaches with a DDP?

Toddcat - why are you being such a loud mouth about my laundry room fiasco? It worked out. No one came to rescue me (thanks for nothing, Ross) and I got one round down on Abby's felted slippers. Sure, there was a lot of awkwardness - but I'm over it. At least publicly I'm over it.

Heidi - this is big big big news. I'm not drinking ddp. That's right - I'm off the sauce. While Greg insists that we are still a ddp family - I'm working on giving it up. So no, the peaches were paired with a delightful dasani water from 2010.

What the...??? First no rescue, then he doesn't get on board to support you shaking the DDP habit? Ross certainly doesn't seem to be working very hard for that sainthood. Perhaps he needs to see a few more Meredith Baxter Birney made-for-TV movies about what happens when a husband doesn't measure up!

Todd -- thank you, thank you, thank you for telling the laundry room story. The picture of KTC tip-toeing around in the laundry room, trying not to make too much noise with her knitting needles, is priceless. KTC, I hope you overheard some awesome mission gossip while you were hiding out. That would make it all worthwhile.

Also, Todd, KTC seems to be making excellent progress on my knitted goods. What do you think that means? Do you think she likes me better than you? Cause that's how I'm reading it.

I love peaches, I am so hungy right now I want to eat the rest of that bottle. The pictures of the two girls is absolutely adorable. What some special little girls. Have fun tending the sweet boys. Love you, Mom

KrisTina--I love reading your blog. In case I haven't told you. :)

Abby, I think the clear message is that Kitty is getting her boring projects out of the way (i.e. yours) and saving the best for last (i.e. mine). I'm sorry to have to be the one to point out how she really feels about us, but in summary, I'm totally her fav.
