For some reason this morning I have a craving for Smurf-Berry Crunch. Anybody remember these? I'm pretty sure my mom never bought this cereal for us because of the sugar content and the fact that all I seem to remember eating is Honey Nut Cheerios. Where Shannon and I really got our fix was at grandma's house. She had all the good stuff, but especially Smurf-Berry Crunch. Her house was great because not only could we get the good stuff (cereal, sandwiches with what seemed to have 1-inch thick cuts of cheese and ham) but we could also watch MTV - back when they actually played music videos.I wasn't really a huge fan of the Smurf cartoon, but to this day, whenever I hear the song from Swan Lake, I sing the lyrics to the commercial. Maybe they will re-issue the cereal for a while when the new movie releases.

I have never even tried smurf berry crunch. We didn't have any deliciousness cereal as a kid. But Wheat Chex and Kix? Now those were always available.
I remember loving Boo Berry cereal as a little kid and then never having any because, despite the fact that it was pictured on the commercial with Frankenberry and Count Chocula, you could never find it. Then, one day in college I discovered it at a local market. I bought a couple of boxes and ate noting else for 2 days. I won't go into the details, but let's just say that there is a lot of blue dye in that cereal. A LOT of it!
PS- Still waiting on my knitted goods.
I collected Smurf's. Little plastic ones. Surely SOMEONE is selling a 25 year old box on ebay.
We never had sugar cereals--ever. In fact, I remember the first time I had cookie crunch. I was 13, in eigth grade. And it wasn't at my house for sure. I also remember smurfberries because we could never have them. We woke up early every saturday morning to watch cartoons--of which included the smurfs. I remember sitting there looking at those rainbow colored lines, waiting for the network to come on for the day.
