weekend recap

September continues to be a little crazy. This weekend was no exception. We went and helped my parents try and finish their new house and help them move out of their old house. I keep telling my mom - selling your house so fast is a good thing - even if it means that things are insane. Literally.

Here is Greg, relaxing in the "new" garage. He loves his phone - loves it. Obviously.

I took a break from the moving to attend an adult sewing boot camp. Greg bought me a sewing machine for Christmas three years ago and I have never used it. I've been too scared. Well - no longer! I sewed up some pajama pants that were promptly given to my niece and a timely pillowcase. Check it.

And just because I need to disclose everything - I wore my fancy cowboy boots to Church on Sunday. These things are so so so so so so so hard to put on. Greg had to help me and still it was quite a production. Hence I wear them never. But I wasn't giving up - so we were late to church. But all in the name of fashion. I took this self portrait:

I know random post. At least it's a new post. At least.

You are so fancy! And talented. Now you are a renaissance woman.

I am going to say it is about time. You have been hiding your sewing talent all this time. Can't wait to see what you whip up next. Maybe some chaps to go with those boots.

You know how I feel about the boots...they really are fabulous!

Well those boots are a huge step up from your fake Crocs that you used to love. I don't know that church is an appropriate place to wear them though. Now that I know you have the gear I am going to suggest we plan a trip to a dude ranch next summer. It will be awesome and you know it. I'm sure lots of your blog readers will want to join us, too.

KT,

Jill and I are not sure that taking pictures in church is an appropriate use of electronic media. Yeah, sure...I know everyone wants us to think they are reading their scriptures, but last week I looked over someone's shoulder to see a video game.
