solving mysteries

These past few days I have been busy solving mysteries. Case in point:

1) The case of the missing debit card. Let me rephrase - my debit card has been lost since before Memorial Day. My first step was to check and see if there were crazy charges - nope. My next step on the investigation was to figure out where I had it last. After interviewing several persons and going through my purse I finally came to the conclusion that I needed to cancel it and get a new one. I received my new debit card last Saturday . . . and this morning . . . I solved the mystery . . . I found it in one of my pockets.

2) The case of the missing grocery bags. Now this may not sound like a big mystery but trust me - because of a vita-mix frenzy of produce in May - our food budget was curtailed for June. So curtailed that from today until the end of the month we are only supposed to spend ten dollars (top ramen here we come). Keeping this in mind you can see that I was desperate to track down those missing grocery bags. Well I tracked them down - someone had left them in my cart at the grocery store. Idiot.

You can pretty much just call me Jessica F.

I guess we are related. I'm trying to solve the case of the missing chicken breasts. $15 in chicken and it is nowhere. At all. Except maybe at the check out counter. Where it has been returned to the freezer. And I have thrown away my receipt (who saves grocery receipts?) Blast.

Kitty, you lose more stuff than anyone I know, which in my book makes you the Biggest Loser. I'd give your a trophy or prize, but you'd probably just lose it.

Carrie, you should check your microwave for that chicken. Kitty and Ross found some chicken in their microwave after it had been missing for 3 days.

The worse is a gallon of milk. You could find it after weeks of sitting in the hot sun.

I hope you can keep ahold of your mind, Friend. That is a serious one to lose.
