I absolutely love that picture. Since this is a special post, I also thought of 5 other things that I just really love about Kris Tina:
- As evidenced by the above picture, her grandfather once famously stated that nobody will sell this girl anything she doesn't want to buy. I can attest to that and it is one of the things that makes her so great.
- Sometimes, if you catch her in the right mood, she will sing while she is working - kind of like Snow White but better and without those pesky woodland creatures. Also, she usually sings Broadway musical songs. I love that voice.
- This year, KT has been especially good at decorating and organizing our new house. I probably should post some more pics, but it has really turned into our home largely due to her efforts.
- Nobody, but nobody is better at eye-rolling.
- Most importantly, we tend to spend a LOT of time together as we carpool and work at the same place and all, and I love every minute of it. I get to spend most of my time with my best friend and that makes me the luckiest person in the world.
Does anybody else have a favorite KT birthday - or any day moment they would like to share?

What a fun post! I have been totally thinking about you today, KT. Kisses from down south!
I hope whatever special treat Ross serves up for you today, that you DON'T give him that stank eye!
I broke out in a cold sweat at the German Chocolate cake photo. I couldn't relax until I reminded myself that I was NOT the baker of that fiasco and therefore could NOT be blamed for blotching your special occasion...
Still, I might have nightmares! The night could call for a sedative...ha!
Keep singing, girlfriend! I can hear you if I concentrate. The signal is sometimes hard to pick up, but it makes me OH SO HAPPY!
That is a classic Kitty pic. I'd like to see you get that haircut again.
I'm glad Ross brought up the quote about how no one would ever be able to sell you anything you don't want to buy. This final confirms that you bought that ridiculous Luke Skywalker blouse at BR because YOU WANTED IT and not becuase I told you to buy it. I knew it wasn't my fault. It is a nice top, though, nad you should were it more often.
Happy Birthday, Kitty!!!
Peem, Happy Birthday! It looks like I missed it by a minute. I LOVE the vintage photos...brings back good memories of Parkside years...
I love this post. I love Kris Tina. She has many things to love. I do love her singing, too. I also love the photo of her with her German Chocolate cake. I have heard her share her feelings about the snot cake. The hair is awesome.
Yowzas! I am so glad I didn't send you a german chocolate cake for your birthday! I hope that you had an awesome day, and that you spent way too much time eating, reading and sleeping yesterday.
P.S. You're my favorite.
Happy birthday Kris Tina! Hope you had a great day. One of my favorite memories is making a restaurant down in your basement with food from your pantry! I am sure your mom just loved it when we did that! I loved the old photos, lots of fun memories. Happy Birthday!
I expect that Kris Tina's birthday did not end yesterday and carries into the the week! Let's celebrate Kris Tina Week.
Is is bad to say that my favorite birthday was when Ross failed at making it special and how he will never do that again? Or else he will get the German Chocolate Cake look!
Love you KTC! Happy B-day.
Krissi, those pictures are so cute. I can't even remember some of them, but then I guess you have all your baby book photos with you. Hope you had a great day, i know we did as we celebrated with you and Greg. Here's to many more birthdays, love you.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! I think I remember when Krissy got this haircut. She had such nice thick hair and it looked very cute and sassy on her back in the day. You have a very nice/funny husband, would like to meet him someday.
Oh so so sweet! How lucky you are to be so beloved and to have married your best friend. He's right--your house really is beautiful, no one will sell you anything you don't want to buy, and no one (except Lauren) is better at eye-rolling than you. I liked what someone said at your party too--you care intimately about the details of your family's lives. You know more about the ins and outs of your nieces and nephews than any aunt. It is a big hear that beats inside you. Love you and happy birthday!
Uh...Lindy, I thought I was your favorite.
Well this is a little awkward...
Lindy, you mean that picture of Kitty? Don't judge. She looks very trendy for an 8-year-old in 1972.
Ugh, I'm so late. But I loved this birthday post (and hope your birthday was of utmost awesomeness). I'm so glad these pictures will be immortalized in a best-selling Blurb book. I'd like to pre-order, please!
