before and after

So it was the Workhorse's birthday this week. I wanted to make her a present but I decided I didn't want to make her a present if she didn't want it. That would just be a waste of time (and yarn) and I am far enough behind on getting out knitted gifts. Anyhoo. So I showed her a picture of this yoga bag thing and asked her (hypothetically, of course) if I made her one would that be a good birthday present? She said yes - and my fingers got busy. The bag requires some serious felting so I took a picture of how huge it was before I was able to shrink it down.

Here is Greg modeling the golf bag size thing (in his leisure suit - a favorite gift of his from the workhorse):

And now here it is after the felting (model courtesy of the workhorse):

My mom is awesome. Her favorite yoga position? Standing on her head. I think it is a Staker trait - being upside down like that is just so comfortable.

If being upside down is a Staker thing, I certainly didn't get that trait. Lovely knitting skills!

Why do you call her the workhorse? I have an idea but I wanted to hear your thoughts. I don't like standing on my head by the way. Of note, we need to get together and have a Dr. Pepper Party I am a big fan. Every time I come to Utah Michele has one ready for me in her fridge. One a day keeps the grumpies away.

Happy Birthday, Linda!!!!
I'd like to see a picture posted of her standing on her head.
(And you claim you have nothing to blog about!)

Krissi, I can hardly wait to take this bag into my Yoga class. You better get ready for orders because I am sure there will be some. Thanks for making that for me, I really do love it but love you more.
