5th day of delight

So I saw this picture in the Pottery Barn catalog:

And I decided to try and replicate it. So for the 5th day of December we went to the dollar store (yes, I know the dollar store and pottery barn are quite different) and did our best to figure out how to do this . . . on a budget (of course).

After all that work - this is what we ended up with:Let's put it this way - it's not what I envisioned . . . but Ross LOVES it. So we're keeping it. Our house looks a little ridiculous next to all the Clark Griswold Christmas houses - but oh well. And extra points for us because we did this when it was ridiculously cold outside.

I can't even tell them apart. Nice job. I bet yours cost way less.

I like the little trios of balls together. How did you do that? I think you should keep eyes out for a wreath for the front door and add little trios to it. It looks great.

I think this looks great. Was wondering why it wasn't twisted on the opposite side?

If Pottery Barn ever opens a dollar store division I'm sure they will want to bring you on board as their chief designer.

Krissi, what would look good on your door is the live pine bough wreath at Costco. It would tie it all in. Just an idea.
