music - for the people

It's no secret that Greg and I have, what I would call, wildly different tastes in music. My music? All things great and good. His music? Well, let's just sum it up with two words . . .Chris Cornell. I can't stand Chris Cornell. In fact, I can think of few things worse than listening to Chris Cornell - solo or with his various (crappy) bands. Because our tastes are so different we have a hard time ever agreeing what to listen to. Thus, we listen to a lot of npr, some other talk radio (but usually these programs just get us both all fired up), or else our Saturday night standby of Cozy Saturday night (don't judge - they play broadway songs -I like it).
However, the other day we were painting (yes - we will probably be painting for the rest of our lives) and Greg busted into one of the case logic cases and pulled out a bunch of cd's that an old paramour had made for me. Sort of like listening to a bunch of good mix tapes. I hadn't ever busted these out simply because a) our tastes are so different and b) I didn't want to make Greg jealous. Of course, that was of no concern - instead of being all "up in my grill" about hanging on to an old paramour's mix tapes all he could say was "Oh man, I need to meet this guy - he must have a ton of great music on his computer." Oh brother.\
Also you know you don't feel well when you dream of simply going home from work and putting on the couch sack. Nothing sounds better to me right now. Nothing.

Kitty, I looked it up and according to the trusted Merriam-Webster's dictionary the term paramour means, and I quote, "illicit lover". I don't know what you told Ross about the source of those old mixed tapes, but after seeing this blog post he is sure to be all up in your grill about it. Watch out!!

Also, I have a picture of Kitty wearing the couch sack and if I could post it in a blog comment I would.

Oh brother - paramour is a great description - I refuse to air my dirty laundry - just know that I chose that word on purpose.

And you'll be relieved to know that after lounging around in my couch sack last night (and going to bed at 8:30 pm) - I am feeling much better.

are you sure paramour isn't a movie studio? I'm so confused.

This sounds all very scandalous if you ask me. I don't want to, but I'll judge you if I need to.
