Last night we decided it was high time to tear up the perfectly good entryway tile. We had no idea that ceramic tile is built to last for approximately 200 years. We now know this because removing this tile took a sledgehammer, protective eyewear, kneepads, a crowbar, hammer, and pliers (to remove the staples). When Greg first started using the sledgehammer I couldn't help but think "well there's no going back now." In three years - we'll post an after picture. For now we're just going to make sure we have on some shoes when we walk around.

Ross looks like Bob Villa in that picture. He just needs to grow a beard and the look will be complete.
You guys have been watching too much HGTV! Wow, you are really going full board here with the renovations. Good luck. Call us if you need any help!
I am so impressed. Nothing intimidates you. Maybe if I took a good dose of HGTV I could have your guts.
I came home from the store one day to a dumpster on my front porch and the tile from our bathtub surround piled in it. Six months later we could use our bathroom again. Ahh, I love home improvement.
Krissi, you left the knee pads here. Sorry this has been such a big job, but that's what you do when you want changes in a house. It is going to be nice.
Apparently demolition is Karl's favorite part of remodeling. He wrecks it and then it stays that way forever. Let's see... how many tile floors did we rip up?
I HATE remodeling. HATE it. I am so sorry. Three years? Try FOUR!!!!
Sorry, am I scaring you? One thing you have that we don't is finishing skills. I am sure you will have a better experience than us.
Yikes! You guys are so homeowner-y. Impressive!
Wow. We redid and gutted our first home. With this one I am learning to love most of what it came with. I do want to redo the bathrooms, but only when we have enough money saved to pay someone else. It is tough work!
