move-in update

Saturday was the big move. Thanks to a lot of help (including the nieces and nephews who helped by playing fort with the couch cushions) we successfully managed to have all our stuff in one place. Even with the workhorse's help, however, the unpacking and moving in is
S-L-O-W. Mainly because we haven't taken any time off from work and before we really "move in" we want to make some cosmetic (according to Greg) very necessary (according to me) changes.

For now, however, we really are enjoying our garage. We've never had a garage and so far we really like it. We will probably love it when we move all our boxes out so that our car can actually go inside (see pic).

We haven't met any of our neighbors yet. I keep expecting to come home from work and find some freshly baked bread on our porch welcoming us to the neighborhood. So far . . . nothing. But what can I expect? These people are all too busy tending to their livestock.

Caring for cattle is really a full-time job.

Krissi, it is kind of hard to have neighbors bring you bread when the neighbors are the cows in the back yard and the horses in the front. Maybe some milk could be left at your doorstep.

I forgot one more thing, you have had a garage before, you used to live in one up at Utah State. It was an awesome set-up so I am sure you will get this garage looking pretty spiffy.

okay, is "Mom" your mom? She is funny.

I still don't understand. Do you really live on a farm?

Karl wants to move in if you do.

Can I know where your house is? E-mail me if I can.

Fresh milk would be awesome! I can't wait till we get some chickens.

Kitty, you and Ross should introduce yourselves to your new neighbors and score some points by offering to host a weekly farmers market in your garage once you get it cleaned out.

Congrats on a place to live! We too dream of a garage...for now it's only for the rich and famous though! Good luck unpacking that is one thing I do NOT look forward to doing ever again!

Yay for you! Can't wait to see the new place. OH - and I saw that you are famous...you should share with everyone that you were quoted in the "BY" Magazine this month. I was so proud! :o)
