in the words of Gob Bluth . . .

"I've made a huge mistake." Whatever - it's not me - it was Ross. I had a momentary lapse of judgment and I allowed my husband, who has a very, very, very, very difficult time picking out what colors look good with what - pick out the paint color for our study.

Needless to say - since we are not interested in hanging up a bunch of fishes on the wall or "working" in an aquarium. We'll be repainting. Any good suggestions for some color but not too much?

Let me just set the record straight. I did NOT pick this color. The color I picked was deemed "too light" by KT and she wanted to punch it up a little. Looks like she got exactly what she asked for.

Don't try and out-blame the blamer.

Whatever - I was going for white when you said "We need more" well your more turned out to be the inside of the Shedd Aquarium.

Oh no - I said, "what it we tried a blue color?" And then you thought about it in your KT way and decided that you wanted to try a color. I never said we needed anything except a BBQ grill. I think you can just paint the rest of the room yourself . . .

whoa kids, it's ok. You spent hours painting this and now you have to do it over.... Well I guess it is not ok. If it matters any, the blue is not too bad.

Oh brother....I've heard it said that if you want to end a marriage, build a house together. Apparently painting a room is enough to do it for some couples. I think that "spa" blue is tranquil and relaxing. Just give it a few days to see if it grows on you. If you still aren't sure, try painting one of the walls mauve. I think that will really give it a look of distinction.

Also, are those cows I see in the background out the window? I can already smell the dairy air.

Perhaps next time just do an "accent wall" so the whole room doesn't shout a color. Maybe even that color wouldn't be so loud if it were only on one wall. Then again maybe not :-)

What about a brownish mustard yellow? I actually really like that color even though it does not sound good on paper.

Are you going to try to figure out who this "Hermanos" is? You owe it to yourself. And the Hot Cops.

Just get some wallies for the wall and it will brighten the whole thing up. It is not worth this bickering. In a few months, you won't even notice it anymore.

Greenbrier Beige from Benjamin Moore. You can never go wrong with that color. Ever.

Krissi, really listen to Stacy she has been a pro at this for a while. I want to see what that color looks like. But if you really want blue you pick out the colors that have blue not a lot of green in it because the swatch you showed me that is all I could see was green. I do like acquamarine because that is my birthstone.

I (for one) LOVE the Crest TM color you picked out! (to whomever picked it out)

Oh man! I can tell you about the endless arguments over paint and our house. Let's just say that we repainted our great room four times. Nuff said.

Oh wow -- I have not seen a blue like that since whatever brat pack movie I last watched -- if you decide not to go with the Florida beach-condo decor, you could always do 1980s Night at the Prom.

Because we are both "color swatch interpretation challenged", Scott and I stick with any color from Restoration Hardware. They only have about 15 to choose from, but we have never been unhappy. In our living room right now is Silver Sage. I love it.
