Life Lessons

1) When your keynote speaker cancels 12 hours before an event - it is a big fat pain to become an expert on student loans in such a short amount of time. I don't think I fooled anyone.

2)Never ever ever go to the gym without an elastic band for your hair. It just isn't worth it. I did my best to try and keep it pinned up via the tried and true pencil stuck through the middle of the hair. It didn't stay. With the gym over - I looked a bit like a lioness (with a mane).

3) When a baby's blessing starts at 2:50 pm - don't show up at 2:55 pm and think it will be fine. You'll miss the blessing. We did.

4) It is impossible to work out at night and then wake up at 5:05 am to work out the next morning. Impossible. Don't even bother setting the alarm. Just don't.

5) It is possible that when you move cross country you will find yourself living in a place longer than you originally planned. Unpack more clothes before you put it all in storage so that you have more options. My gray/black attire matches the winter but I'm sick of it - and I'm sure everyone else is too.

I really like your alarm clock. I always wanted the ET alarm clock where his belly was the clock, his finger would light up and his head would rise up and down on his extendable neck. Who wouldn't want to wake up to that?

If that glorious mane of hair (at least that is what I imagine it to be the way Carrie is always going on and on about how magnificent it is) of yours is in the way why don't you get it cut and sell your locks as Jessica Simpson hair extensions?

I really am sorry that you found yourself at the gym without a hair elastic. That is the worst feeling in the world. So now what are you supposed to do? Just let your hair stick to your sweaty neck and make you about 30 degrees hotter for an hour? I think the gym should provide free elastics for everyone. It is both fair and merciful.

P.S. I always trust you as my student loan expert, so I'm sure it went fine.

I'm so glad I now know a student loan expert. How on earth does one pay them off, pray tell?

Where is your heart beanie to spice up your wardrobe? Oh, and I'm sure your games are probably packed away in storage, too. Maybe you should come use some of ours sometime? Are you in UT county yet?

I have missed so many baby blessings because we are late to everything.
