the turkey made the turkey

We had a great Thanksgiving (but honestly, who is really going to post and say, "Our Thanksgiving was horrible"?). We went to St. George and partied it up at Club Carlston. Finally a real vacation - we slept in and chillaxed to the limit - watched some movies, went hiking, rode our bikes around town, and broke down and purchased Guitar Hero - or Rock Band. Whatever - they are the same to me. As part of our payment to stay at Club Carlston we agreed to make the Turkey - and by we, I mean Ross (although I really was the sous chef - I chopped some onions and poured on the spices). It turned out splendidly. Ross was very, very proud of his creation and found an excuse to put the leftover turkey on just about everything . . . until Saturday when he broke down and admitted that he needed to eat something different. I think it must have been the turkey on cereal that made him realize he had gone too far.

Way to go, Ross! That is an impressive-looking turkey.

I'd like to think you are kidding about the turkey on cereal, but we've all seen Ross devour a bowl of black olives for breakfast so it's clear he'll eat absolutely anything.

That bird does look good enough to eat though. Save the neck for me, Clark!

I'll admit that looks heavenly! I already miss turkey. Why do we only have it on special ocassions?

I had a hard time leaving behind the ziplock of turkey in the fridge. Greg's turkey was so good I wanted to continue to sprinkle it over everything, but it felt rude to take it out of mom's hands. You say not a WORD about PR--by the way. It was almost like Jay and Austen came to dinner with us.

Oh this looks delicious. I can see how Ross had some sentimental attachment to this Tom.

Lindy, I don't know what your are talking about. You have the joy of Turkey every day of the year.

Toddcat--thanks for helping me remember not to discount the Turkey in my own life, even if he did have to spend the week at the kennel because my parents rescued two new mastiffs and they wanted to eat him as a tasty morsel.

Oh my. First off, beautiful turkey. Secondly, if you did in fact succumb to the pressures of Guitar Hero World Tour for your Wii as we did, I think there is a way for us to play together from the comfort of our own homes. Or something. My drumming skills have become borderline excellent over the past weekend.

Way to go on the Turkey Greg! Mike cooked the Turkey this year too. It sounds like you guys had an awesome Thanksgiving. I was hoping to get down to St. George too, but others had a different idea in mind.
