ramblings

We found a house. Maybe. We went and looked at it again at lunch today and both of us left feeling - I don't know. Unsettled. It isn't our dream house -but then again - I don't really know if that exists (at least in our price range and our location). But it works. It is functional. It is charming. And out of everything we've seen - it's the best. So what's the problem? I don't know. Sure, our loft had its quirks - but we grew to really love it. We were also really sad to leave it.

I guess for a house to really be a home you have to put in all your familiar furniture and whatnots and then start living there. Start making memories there. Right now I don't know if we are ready to do that. Oh I hate feeling so unsettled about the whole thing.

Don't get me wrong - we continue to recognize what a miracle it is we managed to sell the loft - (just read the NY Times any day for this reminder) but . . .is this new house supposed to be our house? I just don't know.

I think you need to ask yourself two important questions:

1) Can you see yourself spending hours and hours watching 24 there?

2) How will Ross's Star Wars collection look there?

If you can answer both of these positively, I don't see what the problem is.

Excellent, excellent point. Way to really just put the whole issue together for us. I can't see any of Ross's Star Wars collection looking good there. But honestly, I don't think it looks good anywhere. And if 24 doesn't improve (last season was horrible) then I don't know if we can watch that either. Crap. This issue is harder than I thought!

Lindy does make some valid points, except for the fact that the show 24 is the lamest of lame and I don't understand why anyone would want to punish themselves by watching it.

Kitty, if you aren't sure weather (LOL!) or not you should by this house it is obvious what you need to do...go see a psychic. They advise on this sort of thing all the time. I wish Dionne Warwick was still doing commercials for the Psychic Friends Hotline because the would be the best one for helping with a big decision like this. Just find a local psychic and go. You don't even need to make an appointment. They'll know you're coming.

Todd- this doesn't happen often - but you have left me speechless. Perhaps I will go to the psychics to have them tell me what I am going to say.

Well, ok, but with all those questions you are going ot run up quite a big psychic bill.

Well this does leave you in quite a quandary that even Jack Bauer may have a hard time with (as evidenced by last season--I'll give you that). I'll warn you, though, the last time I took Tood's advice I ended up in a truck stop outside of Memphis with only one shoe and a painting of George Washington praying by a horse.

KTC, you're in luck; the psychic friends hotline is back and with a new celebrity sponsor! I saw Vivica A. Fox giving a shout out the other day.
