sweater capes

Today I'm grateful for sweater capes. Particularly the sweater cape I made for Miss Charlotte for her two-year old birthday. It was meant to be a poncho but due to my inept pattern reading ability (I only increased two on the round instead of three) it turned into a sweater cape. Which is actually perfect because we all know how much Oprah/Pam and Liz Lemon love sweater capes. Maybe I intentionally made the mistake. Nevertheless, after a bit of cajoling and a lot of exclaiming how amazing Charlotte looked in her sweater cape she started to kind of like it too. At least to my face.

Oh, that is a lovely sweater cape, too. I can't wait to get my hand-knitted-by-Kitty cape. She almost looks like she could take flight in that thing.

Toddcat- I'm not giving you a cake for your birthday/christmas present. I already made you that beautiful alpaca scarf- these workhorse hands need a rest from all your demands.

Well, I'm not expecting you to knit a cake. A cape will be just fine. If that scarf is any indication I won't expect it to be done before 2012.

I have to admit, I am a bit confused why you intended to make a Martha Stewart prison poncho for a two-year-old. It’s not that she wouldn't look smashing in an MSPP, but it seems like you are pushing her into a life of white collar crime.

Pam really does know what's up--that sweater cape is to die for!
