I've been seeing a lot of this look around campus. I'm really not a fan. Not at all. The face has been removed to protect the innocent, or rather, the lady that has a serious misconception of fashion.

That is so funny. I haven't seen that look anywhere. A BYU exclusive? Or do I just live in a box?
Well I guess the problem is- here at the BYU they are trying to be fashionable (?) and modest. But really tube tops and and a shirt is just not a good look for anyone.
Well you should have seen the one we saw that sparked our conversation. A sweater tube-top just never looks good over a dress shirt. It just isn't a sweater-vest and you can't treat it as such. I do have to admit that it really reminds me of those shrugs that were really popular a few years back. Those were ghastly. Only a select few could pull those off. Unfortunately, they weren't usually the ones that wore them . . . .
Of course Ross would know who could pull off a shrug!
This makes me laugh because just last week I was trying to explain this to some of the young women in my ward. I was telling them that at BYU they want to be able to wear all of the fashions so they just throw a shirt on underneath them! So bizarre.

Yes I have not seen such atrocity either, BYU has it's own styles?

A BYU girl tried to tell me this kind of layering was really trendy and everyone was wearing it. I just couldn't accept it, it's so awful.
Oh wow. No. That is not okay -- especially not over a collared shirt. Wait, I take that back, not over any shirt.

Lindy - just so you know - this is a picture of your sister, the BYU co-ed one!
Oh you got me good!
A torso cozy? Belly warmer?
Very modest... and hideous.
What is that! And what is the news that you are at BYU?!?!?! Where have I been?
Oh, you guys are being ridiculous! That isn't a tube top...it's a leg warmer being worn a little high. Kitty, did you knit that beautiful garment?
