Last night Greg and I were discussing Christmas. We came to the conclusion that because we get 10% off at the bookstore we might as well make sure that all the gifts we give each other come from that amazing store. SWEEEEEET. So today, I'm grateful for all the potential gifts that I will be getting from Greg (who says that this year he plans on "showering" me with gifts - I'll believe that when I see it). So for the time being - here are some potential new items that I will soon be grateful for:
1) Chenille pajama pants emblazoned with a "Y"
2) Hoodie jacket emblazoned with a "Y"
3) Shoes emblazoned with a "Y"
4) Bathrobe emblazoned with a "Y"
5) A replica of the sword of Laban in a fancy glass case.
6) A replica of a lot of amazing other religious items all in their own fancy glass case. (Jill St. John will be SO jealous).
Sweet. I guess I am thankful for the upcoming holiday.

I guess that means you'd better shower Greg with a BYU football jersey and polyester tie. And they've got to have manpris emblazoned with "Y"s.
Oooh. That does sound amazing. There are so many awesome things to buy at the bookstore -- Ross, don't overlook all those really helpful books they'll have about making the most money with the least amount of effort or how to survive life as a modern LDS woman. I think KTC would really appreciate those.
Jill St. John really will be jealous -- maybe we should take up a collection and give her a glass-encased sword of Laban for her very own.
I already purchased "The Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands" by Sister Schlessinger. I had them put on a Y sticker though so we would know it came from the bookstore. I also got a deal on a Brother Hannity two-pack of "Let Freedom Ring" and "Deliver Us From Evil," how awesome is that! I think he signed them personally when he brought dignity and patriotism back to the stadium of fire celebration a few years back. So I am certainly working the book part of the bookstore. Now if only I could find the Cougar leiderhosen my co-worker was telling me about . . .
I may not understand how your culture works, but it sounds to me like you are all buying yourselves one way tickets to Hades with all your mockery. I would suggest buying some tube tops emblazzoned with a "Y" because those sweatshirts will be too hot where your are headed with your handbaskets!
Oh Toddcat - you don't understand a thing about our culture. Mockery is a surefire way to get to heaven - and everything we say is always with love. Besides we aren't the ones who dressed their dogs up like Mary and Joseph for their Christmas card. You'll do anything. Anything. And that is a straight ticket to Hades. Straight.
Speaking of the dog nativity scene that I created as a loving tribute, I need ideas for this year's photo. Let's here some suggestions from your readers.
Toddcat--why don't you see if Ross and KT will share their discount with you, and then you can dress Tanner and Maggie up as BYU students. I am picturing Tanner with a "Y" backpack, a "Y" basketball jersey and maybe a "Y" touque for those cold winter days. Maggie should definitely find one of those "Y" tube tops to wear over her "Y" sweatshirt (in pink). Then she should slip into some "Y" pink track pants, but fitted so they are more like leggings, and some high heels. Finish it off with a glittery lip gloss and Jamba Juice cup.
Those are some excellent, excellent ideas Lindy. I hope Kitty and Ross send the dogs their Christmas presents early this year so they can wear them for the Christmas photo. Of Course, I've been waiting since August for my birthday gift from Kitty, so we might need a plan B just in case those "Y" gifts get lost in the mail or something.
We already got the dogs "Real Dawgs wear Blue" cozies.
Ross, I don't understand that statement and I won't respond to it.
Ahhhh... you make me laugh.
