Aging . . .
So my new job is going well. I guess. I mean it does take a lot of work to look and act competent. So far so good. On Tuesday (my first day) I had some down time between all the paperwork and when I officially "started." I didn't really know what to do so I just kind of hung out at the "Wilk." It is there, while I worked on the wonderful crossword puzzle provided in the Daily Universe, that I realized something. I'm not a freshman - I'm one of those old ladies that undergraduates look at and think "what are you doing here." Whoa. When did that happen? I hate to say it but I did just kind of feel old - I mean, I don't look a day over 18 but my life experiences certainly suggest that I am much older. Junk. I'm going to start investing in a lot of Oil of Olay. A lot.

An old lady hanging out among the young college co-eds. You'd better not be flirting with all the boys or they are going to call you the campus cougar.
...and when did you go to Glamour Shots and get that photo taken??
I'm not the campus cougar - I'm happily married despite the "separation." And no, that's not a picture of me - I don't look a day over 18 - a day!
Oh T, talk about feeling old. How about having your husband START law school when you are 31 with four kids. Now, that is old and frumpy and seriously pathetic. How I wish I could pretend to be a freshman again and hang out at the Wilk during lunch. Is your new job in the law school or with the general council? Would love to hear all about it! Go cougs. Oh, and don't forget that I just had a darling baby girl that would look precious in your mary janes. :)
I might just have to go hang out on campus and see if I can run into you. I can't believe you are really so close! Although speaking of looking out of place... I think students are just looking younger and younger.
Just make sure you wear your wedding ring! You wouldn't want some return missionary thinking that you're an impressionable freshman he can propose to next Tuesday.
Oh my goodness girl, I just happened to land on your blog, SO glad to have found you! :) How is life after law school? I'm still up in Salt Lake, and enjoying life. :)
Were you knitting?
Awesome.
I'm sure you just blend right in with all those children. Mike and I were walking around on campus one night and I felt like I was back in college holding hands with some hot young stud. With his baby face he probably does still look like a college student.
Maybe you should try the younger, hipper Sudoku as opposed to crossword puzzles? I hear it is all the rage. I usually play with my abacus, but I am trying to learn the rules of this new-fangled numbers racket.
I'm so glad your job is going well! We miss you here, though!
oh kt - just a few weeks ago i was in the bp section at nordstrom and i had the same shocking epiphany. i'm gettin' old. too old for this stuff.
but you're youthful and lovely and the cougs are lucky to have you.
I hear ya'.
