highly cultured

We went to this art exhibit this weekend. It was a little weird but I did walk away thinking, "I'd like to have a porcelain sculpture of Michael Jackson and Bubbles in my home. I really would."
The best part of this exhibit, however, was the fact that our tour got saddled with a "fella" who apparently knows everything about art. Everything. We were forced to listen to comments such as, "Aluminum is really disposable which means Jeff Koons is saying . . . " and this gem, "Athletes really are placed on a pedestal." I tried hard to not show my displeasure at his inane comments but I think my body language of walking away whenever he started to open his mouth gave it away.

I just placed an order for a life-size replica of the Michael Jackson/Bubbles piece. Also, I am stopping by the Target on the way home for some basketballs and an aquarium - I want to see if I can re-create the awesomeness of "Equilibrium." Also, I don't know what you were talking about with the KIA (know it all) - he added at least 20 minutes to our otherwise quick tour. We really got our $ worth with his the knowledge he dropped on our un-cultured minds.

Kris Tina, great to see what you're up to. Sounds like you've been having a fun-packed life. Nonetheless, I must discourage the MJ sculpture. It may seem cut but that facial expression will surely cause nightmares of the most unpleasant kind :)
