Overheard on the elevator . . .

Some people are just plain crazy. Today on the elevator one woman said to another, "How is it outside?" The other woman replied, "Hot and muggy." In response the first woman said, "It's days like today that make me want it to be winter."

Um she would rather it be wind chill of negative a jillion where your face and extremities freeze off if not bundled under serious clothing? She's crazy.

It's comments like hers that made me coin the phrase "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence."

wow - i had no idea that you coined such widely used phrases. Phrases that have been said around the world. Kudos to you Mr. Toddcat - Kudos. Which reminds me - I coined the phrase, "You want your belt to buckle not your chair" I say that to Ross every morning - that's what makes me such a good wife.

If you get on the elevator with her in the winter she is sure to wish it was July. I will take the heat over the cold any day of the year.

But which one of you coined the phrase "a watched pot never boils"? That's the real question.

Never boils OVER.

I think I am cold blooded or something because my body can change temperatures really quickly. I always wish for the opposite weather IF I am feeling particularly hot or cold . . .

But, I don't think I would wish for the death cold of a Chicago winter- just some AC

I am sweaty and overheated in the hot Texas summer and I would still prefer summer to winter. A rolling stone gathers no moss.

Tell that lady to shut her trap! She may curse the weather gods to bring back that horrible, horrible, time called winter in Chicago. Plus, give me a break, it is not THAT humid. You can't complain about all seasons.

Can you tell I am a little passionate about this subject?
