Happy Mother's Day!

We love our mothers. However, because my mom (the Workhorse) is in China and not checking the blog and Ross's mom doesn't really ever check the blog we have decided to do a post dedicated to our favorite television mothers. I mean, after all, they have had as much influence on our life as our own mothers -if not more.

Don't tell me you didn't just look at the picture of Elise Keaton and sing "sha-na-na-na" to yourself (or is it sha-la-la-la?). Any woman like Claire Huxtable who can be a successful attorney, raise five kids and have hair like that is a success. Who wouldn't want a mom like Samantha who can fix anything with the twinkle of her nose? And Carol Brady really can pull off a mullet like nobody's business. Of course, our favorite . . . Lucille Bluth, who reminds us that when she runs into flamboyant people it just makes her want to set herself on fire. A good lesson for any of us.

I too loved many of those same TV Moms. The Moms on TV these days are just not the same. :)

I love the mom on the Little Women movie. She always has the sage advice just on the tip of her tongue. Whenever I see it, I always wish I could be her. Or Samantha. Always Samantha. Thanks for that inspiring blog entry.

Oh, true words my dear... true words! (Except... is she REALLY pulling off the mullet? I'm still deliberating...) :)

Out of all those tv mothers, I think my favorite was Mrs. Huxtable. She was so cute with her husband, kids, and was clever how she ran her household. Thanks for sharing and bringing back memories.
