Ridiculous

With Ross traveling and coming home on Thursday night - for some reason Thursday usually seems like Friday. It's a cruel joke when I wake up the next morning and still have to go to work.

It is so ridiculous but I really like having Ross home more than away. Even if I still have to go to bed alone because he insists on staying up all night to watch the Jazz game. When will he learn - the Jazz just break your heart? (two points - at home? come on!) That's why I don't watch. Well that and I don't really want to.

But Kitty, how can you say you miss Ross if he doesn't leave? I say send him away all the time and your relationship can only get stronger.

You make a really good point. Another good point - the house is much cleaner without him around dropping his crumbs all over the place.

You don't have to send your husband away to go to bed alone in Jazz season. I too have been going to bed alone now that the Jazz are on. Zack has been staying up late to watch the games since they are on so late here on the East coast. He loves those Jazz. Must run in the family!

KTC, your crumb comment casts some doubt on comments made elsewhere about how your floors were "so clean you could eat off them." I was really impressed. I didn't realize you meant "so clean you could eat [Ross's leftovers] off them."

Oh Abby - he drops his crumbs all over the place - just like Hansel. I follow him around with a swiffer to make sure that yes, you can eat off these floors.

Oh phew. Bread crumbs may be okay for finding your way out of a forest (or around BYU -- just follow the line of crazed ducks) but they are gross on socks or bare feet.

When Ross is out of town, does he leave you a list of chores to do, like sweep four times a day, polish all of the silver, and set up his Star Wars legos in a spectacular display?

Oh Lindy, of course not - Ross doesn't let me touch his Star Wars stuff. He locks it up before he leaves each week. Don't worry - we're working on our trust issues.

Isn't it the truth? My heart has been broken too many times by those Jazz Men! That's why we moved to Detroit, the Pistons won two years while we were there cheering them on in the stands! I used to be as bad as my Mom watching the Jazz games, no more.

Amen to the crumbs! How can the house stay immaculately clean for hours and hours while I am home with 3 kids and then spontaneously produce bushels of crumbs within 5 minutes of Matt's arrival home from work? I don't know, but I am thinking of calling in a specialist. Do they exterminate crumbs? My swiffer isn't cutting it! Or amybe I'm just not fast enough!

And shame on you, you fickle former Utah girls (Meg & Krissy)... you can't just be a Jazz fan when they are always winning! True fans are loyal to their team, no matter what... as if it were a marriage... for better or for worse, in good times and in bad... even in post-season disappointment! :)
