Don't be jealous

Last night, unexpectedly, my best friend who has a half of a heart necklace, Jill came to visit. Random because she lives in DC and I had no idea she was in town (and she didn't know she would be there either). Here we are just knitting and chatting (well, I am chatting Jill, on the other hand, is cursing like a sailor). Jill looks great in her business casual . . . I just look casual.

Oh, this picture and blog post make me sick for so many reasons; I hardly know where to begin. First of all, how can you call Jill a BF? Are you honestly trying to support this claim with your half-a-heart necklaces? I would bet that neither one of you has a clue where your heart half is. Neither one of you was wearing the so-call BF necklace during your reunion. Just admit it. Secondly, how could Jill not know she would be in Chicago? Are you suggesting that she woke up yesterday morning confused and bewildered because after going to sleep (or more likely passing out) the night before in DC she suddenly found herself in the strange and distant city of Chicago? Really?? I do, however, believe that Jill was cussing up a storm. I know Jill and that's the kind of person she is. At least she showed up dressed in modest business casual attire.

freak! You guys were having a verifiable reunion whilst I was watching the Real House Wives of New York City. Some how this doesn't seem fair!

I'm sooo glad that you got to hang out. Ross probably bawled his eyes out because he missed his best friend, the Xterra. I hope that you guys made the most of your evening together and, from the looks of things, you did.

Ross didn't bawl his eyes out instead he just walked around thinking, "I'm so glad Kitty has a friend."

Also here is a list of topics me and the Jill-ster discussed:
1) Cheryl and her leather pants
2) How we wish we would win the lottery so we could quit our jobs.
3) How to be more business casual . . in business and in life.

OH I'M SO MAD!!! Well, not mad because I'm a good person and good people are happy for their friends' happiness but I am very, very jealous. (Even good people get jealous.)

You look so comfy just knitting and chatting/cursing. It makes me miss the good old days of watching the Office on the couch in the basement. KTC, I hope that you gave Jill a crash course in knitting. I think that's a skill that would probably improve her life--at least it would give her something to do besides read all those trashy Nora Roberts novels.

Oh man this makes me want some kind of reunion. I think the lottery would help with that too. Let's get on it.

Oh, please Lindy. I have tried to reunite with you in Dallas thousands of times and you always seem to be somewhere else when I am in Dallas. If wanted a fun reunion you would make it work. Is it because I don't knit?

I'm not going to lie, Todd, that does have something to do with it. That and the fact that you've completely abandoned your own blogging efforts. The Catbox is in no condition for a reunion.

I am so glad that we were roommates in the yellow house if for no other reason then that I have access to the "chronicles". Let's face it, I'm tired of looking at people's kids, as I am sure they are tired of looking at mine........

Oh, that is where you are wrong Lindy. Dead wrong! I made a post on the Catbox a week ago and it went completely ignored. Basically, your neglect has killed the Catbox. I hope you're happy with yourself.

Is this what GNO's have been reduced to? Knitting like a couple of old ladies... where is the disco ball? Where are the dancing men? Next time you reunite with a BF, especially if she is, as you claim "THE" BF, necklace and all, I certainly hope you make it a more blog-worthy event... business cas isn't going to cut it! :)

I don't know where to begin. First of all, we WERE wearing our BF necklaces. We agreed a long time ago to wear them next to our skin at all times so that the half a heart would imprint our skin, and our souls. Like Hillary Clinton, Todd is misconstruing the truth and pandering (to all of you fashionistas). I thought I'd be in Chicago, but I didn't know for sure, and I thought if the trip actually happened, I'd be there for only six hours. I couldn't tell KTC because I knew it would drive us mad to be in the same city and not get to see each other. The afternoon was agonizing. Racing to the hearing, looking up at the big Chicago skyscrapers, singing “Somewhere Out There” [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRaieyN77UI] as I wiped tears from my eyes knowing that I wouldn’t get to see her . . . But then -- KTC’s lifetime of good karma kicked in: I got to spend the night in Chicago.

I want to give a shout out to all those people who were proud of what we done, and said nice things. The Lannis, the Lindys, and the Abbies of the blog. Most of all though, I want to thank KTC and Ross for a magical evening. And for all you Carlkelfamaniacs out there -- they are just as popular and awesome as ever! Sara and Todd are jealous, not of our clothes, but of our evening. And I can’t blame them.

We knitted; we laughed; we cried. There was a lot of cussing, and a lot of love.
