1) An apron - I found this one on www.etsy.com and it is perfect - I like the 50's look. That way when Ross comes home from work he can find me cooking in my apron, heels, and pearls.
2) This chair by Paul McCobb - it's awesome and would look great in our house (see ebay to purchase).
3) Yarn - let's face it - I can never have enough - this gift could also include some knitting books with awesome patterns (but I only want awesome pattern books no lame pattern books, please).
4) Redesigned closets - or at least money to contribute to the redesign closet fund.
5) Patent leather mary-jane peep toe shoes - sure they are $200, but my feet will thank you.
6) A Vespa - this really will make the Chicago summer be awesome (pink, please).
7) Melody Gardot cd - we heard her interviewed on npr Saturday morning and i am so intrigued - I might not be able to wait and may have to buy this myself.
8) "Night Fishing at Antibes" by Picasso - if the original is too expensive and the Moma isn't willing to part with it - I'll accept a print.
9) This bed from potterybarn - Ross doesn't love it but I think it will be fantastic.
10) Murder, she wrote dvd's (but not the first season - thanks to Abby I am already the proud owner).
11) A bicycle trainer - so that I can ride my bike while watching Jessica solve mystery after mystery.
12) A piano - I really really would like one - craigslist.com has many for sale that are pseudo inexpensive and . . . it doesn't have to be a grand piano.
13) A bose soundwave with ipod attachment - I mean as long as I am making my wish list . . .
14) A beautiful edible arrangement . . .
15) Absolutely nothing except a visit from my nieces and nephews.
Whoever said I was hard to shop for?

OK I just ordered each of these things for you. They'll be there in 7 to 10 working days.
Wow! This is almost as good as getting a translucent "registered at" card in a wedding invitation. I'm on it -- I'm leaning toward the baby doll shoes. $200 is a little pricy but you just can't argue with grateful, happy feet.
Once again, I'm going to remind Ross how awesome it would be if he got you a Casio keyboard for your birthday. It is just as good as a real piano, but won't take up much room. You will love it, Kitty. LOVE IT!
Also, you might want to add season passes to Cedar Point to your list. You could go every weekend this summer.
Toddcat - don't be silly. We can't go to Cedar Point every weekend this summer - the sube is not reliable enough for that long of a drive.
Oh, I know what should have been #1 on your wish list....a NEW CAR!!! You need to get rid of that rusted out piece of junk car that barely gets you down the street. I am starting to think you are going to keep that clunker until it blows up with you inside it.
I applaud y'all's commitment to the Sube. Loyalty to a long-lived, once-reliable car--whether it is rusted from top to bottom and rattles from place to place or roars its little sedan self down the street like Greased Lightening--is very admirable.
You should check out your local freecycle chapter in Chicago for the Piano, then it would be free! I saw one the other day here in Worcester. Maybe there is one there too. That way you could treat yourself to a little free birthday gift!! I thought about getting it, but lets face it, we already just bought a fridge that we don't want so I don't think we need more stuff to lug around with us.
